1:64 Batmobile

The first few additions of the 1:64 bat came from Hotwheels on a card with the car in a blister. What did they generally retail for? Were they readily available to the vendors or did only one come in a box of 50? It seems like the newest version now comes in a plastic box and they want five bucks plus for them. I can not believe those clear boxes cost more than the car to produce. Heck if anyone knows where one can buy those boxes (empty) cheap I would appreciate you sharing the info.

Hey gang,
Just wondering if anyone's been able to find the 1:87 Hot Wheels Batmobile in stores. I keep checking the ebay site, but I don't see spending between $15-$25 for this piece. I was wondering if anyone found a site that's not charging so much.
Also, has the 1:43 batmobile been postponed to 2010?
Was I asleep and missed the announcement.

Well, here's the crappy chrome edition so where's the matte black edition that was advertised? I have the matte black edition on pre-order and now I'm seeing this silly looking chrome, the matte looks much nicer, so anyone want to shed any light on when we will see the matte black edition?

Monsters-In-Motion has recently posted a picture of the 1:43 elite, which says, and I quote "NOTE: PHOTOS OF ACTUAL CAR" If true, expect more disappointment. The photo looks just like a 1:50 crap-mobile.

I was buying a DVD at Toys R Us and stumbled upon the 1:18 Batmobile and Batcycle. Haven't collected toys in years, but I knew I wanted these!

Upon investigation I see there are at least 3 versions -- Mass Market, Elite and Super Elite. Some of these having different paint jobs.\

Could anyone give me a concise explanation of the differences between the three.

From what I've been able to gleen:
Elite -- doors open, cloth seatbelts
Super Elite...

I may have to pony up for another 1:18 basic car, as TRU shows in it's Sunday newspaper flier that the regular car is on sale for $19.95. I know my location has a handful on the shelves.

I have the 1:18 scale hot wheels bat and the small one that is the size of matchbox or standard hot wheel cars but what scale is the Hot wheels car that is 4" long and about the size of the old Corgi model? I would like to purchase a quantity of that size but I do not seem to find them on eBay. Any ideas?

I know that it's been discussed before in various threads but I find it particularly WEIRD some of the things Mattel has done with the various 1:18s and though maybe it was worth some further discussion. (?)

OK so we are told that it was laser scanned from the #1 AS IT IS TODAY and that's what HW have given us - today's version of the Barris Batmobile, with all the raised labels and replacement parts its suffered since the 70s.

1:12 Batcycle & Sidecar from Amazon

Received the 1:12 scale TV series Batcycle & Sidecar from Amazon the other day
and was pleased with the vehicles. I was not pleased with Amazon's lousy
packing. They placed a ton of those plastic air bubbles on the cardboard
side of the package, but NONE on the plastic window side. So naturally
the plastic window on the Batcycle box arrived damaged. Despite that
damn dent in the window, $29.95 delivered wasn't a bad price.

New photo of 1/18 Bat....chrome car in Japan?

This is a photo I found while checking out a 1/18 diecast site. It is supposed to be a photo of a model shown at a Japanese model show. It doesn't look chrome to me (it looks more like a combo of chrome and a dark chrome, but we know we aren't getting the dark chrome version), but that is probably which one it is. Photo unfortanely doesn't show if bat-ray stripes are there or not. Maybe more photos from this show will turn up.
