Regarding accuracy research, if the photo is black and white it is probably of the #1 car at the time of the show. If the picture is in color, there is less than a 25% chance that it is the #1 from the time of the show. Beware that even the #1 looked as bad as any of the Barris replicas during the mid-70's, with toys mounted on the arch, dash, and center console.

At least that's the info I am aware of, it hasn't been at peterson for a long time and I haven't heard if it will return or not? (I haven't ever seen Don's personally either)

And since literally every batmobile is a unique build, a tape would be a guide at best but probably just a guide to whoever filmed it's own style of build technique----which could be very good, could be very bad too.
