Hi Chris,
This is the first I've seen these pictures, I need to check in more often ! It looks like fun for you and your son, and I'm sure you were a super-hero by bringing the Batmobile for him and his classmates! He is growing up fast !
Have a great Christmas and New Year......I hope you get a some breaks in the winter weather to get your car out for a few drives until spring arrives.

BTW, I did let ONLY the Batman costumed kids (of which my son was not one) get their photo IN the car. I also handed out glossy 6x8 photos for the BIG kids (adults) who wanted them.

End result: MILES OF SMILES!

My Son's school held its first "Trunk n Treat" whereby each parent decorates the trunk of their car and puts a bowl of candy and treats in the car for the kids to parade by to snag their Halloween cache!
The weather was unseasonably mild this year, so I surprised everyone by driving my Bat to the school and putting the candy in the afterburner since most of the little ones were unable to reach up/over the trunk.
They were rewarded later with some Halloween Exihibition...

People loved seeing the car. One of the nicest compliments I had in the morning was words to the effect of "I've seen a bunch of shows, but THIS car at this show made my year".
Everyone seemed to stop to chat about the Bat and were grinning ear to ear. But, since I was not in a judged class, they were busy about the Bugatti's and the fashion show etc. etc. Many came by a 2nd time to get photos they didn't snap the first time.
I"m sure some photos will turn...

As far as I can tell, the Klassix Butts' Bat will be auctioned tomorrow in Hershey, PA by Kruse.

Great pics of your car, Chris. Outstanding. And congrats on the offer for your car. Now comes the tough part--deciding what to do, LOL!

I'm (still) having a great time with my car.
Something I hadn't heard-------if its true----is that Carl Casper apparently resides somewhere in Kentucky in the Louisville vicinity and HE reportedly has a Batmobile? No idea which one might be his if he has one, but at least 2 people confirmed seeing it personally OUTSIDE of his shop? I half-wonder who bought the Klassix replica at the time?
No shortage of folk-tales about other people's experiences in...

Here's a few photos from the show. Most Concours shows do not have a class for any Batmobile, let alone my replica---------since it's in a class of its own!
The beauty for me, other than the weather, was the phenomenal cars in attendance at a historical race grounds where the track dirt is literally sacred.
No one touches the track dirt except horses & jockeys. So, they have a 50 yard underground tunnel to facilitate traffic to the manicured infield...

Hello all,
For any who may be interested, this Sunday is the Louisville, Kentucky Concours d'Elegance show from 9-4 at Churchill Downs.
This years honored marque is Bugatti. I'm told the Batmobile will be prominently displayed so I look forward to meeting anyone who can make it.
I'll be sure to get great photos from this beautiful looking sunny weekend.

As many of you know, the POCI Pontiac Nationals was recently held in Dayton, Ohio earlier this year in July.
With GM sponsorship down and some of the other proto-type cars slated for attendance being cut pulled due to financial constraints during hard times I
was invited by the show Chairman to bring my Pontiac based Batmobile replica to help fill the void.
As a Pontiac lover (clearly), I agreed to donate the display of my car for all who might enjoy it. And, it garnered some...

That's really a nifty trophy they have! One of very few a guy would be proud to display in his garage!

Sorry to hear about the new damage, especially so soon after getting the whole car redone. Might need to sell this one and build another----it might be cursed!

The latest repair issue for my car proved to be an alternator internal rectifier that came loose inside the alternator and fell down onto the stator (armature?) and created an overheat surge that melted the wiring. New Alternator and double-checked tightly secure rectifier resolved the problem.
One other consequence that happened when the Bat was being loaded from the breakdown location is one of the boards I use to drive the car onto my Tonka shot out from the rear tire and broke a...

One thing is to be sure--------The Barris Batmobile will ALWAYS be the original.
The rest are all otherwise very cumbersome replicas at times. If you think of your Batmobile replica as a "glorified kit car" it helps you keep perspective that much like any other car on the road, they too have maintenance woes of their own.
Right now I still need to replace one flasher for the sidelights and constant detailing-------black shows everything!
