OK, you guys are a bad influence on me. I just ordered 2 of the standards (still at 11.99 each), plus a book I thought looked interesting (anybody ever heard
on Jasper Maskelyne? Very interesting person).
It's kind of late now, but still could probably use them to show of my new parts, and sell one or both after a little "tweaking". I just hope they arrive in decent condition. So no matter what, no more testing of my impulse buying, OK?

What a sale! A good friend of mine just purchased 20 and when you spend more than $100.00 they take off $ 25.00.You kind of wonder how many of these they have?
I bought 5 for this unbelievable price too.They make good stocking stuffers or a good investment which ever you prefer.

My two cars arrived today, nice fast shipping and to open them right by my Christmas tree this afternoon....well....how can you top that?!!
One car unfortunately has a bunch of crap in the paint on the driver rear quarter panel under the fin and behind the rear tire. For the price ($11.99) I really am not complaining, but I also didn't have any plans to repaint ANY of my 1:18 bats so it is a bit frustrating! (if I do any mods at all) Sure is cool though getting two big, metal, accurate (overall compared to Batmobile toys of my youth) Batmobiles this close to Christmas!

Now it's at $19.99. What's with Amazon.com, these Batmobiles are like gas prices and the stock market. Just about every few days the price goes up down
up down. On 12-4-08, I ordered one from them at the then price of $21.99 and received it. Then I read here about the price drop, so I emailed them and asked if
they would refund me the difference since it was not that long after I ordered it that the price dropped, or should I just return it and reorder it. They
replied that they would not refund the difference (and I have ordered alot of stuff from them this year), so I sent it back, and reordered two at $11.99 and
thru in a cheap CD that I wanted and got free shipping. They are so customer friendly. NOT!!!.

Was wondering if when some of you got your batmobiles if they came in damged. Both of my boxes came in damged because of bad packing.

I got 2 Bats this week, and another bat when they were first offered and all 3 came from Amazon undamaged from packing.
But it's not like they put any effort into protecting them, they just took an oversized box, dropped in the Bat(s) and then laid in a row of the air bag packing stuff on top. I could see where damage could result to at least the outer box of the Bat at minimum. |
