Hello Dave,
Another weekend working in the garage between the Xmas decorations and the bat project ! It is going well my friend, notice the alignment turnbuckle rod... it is even better then alignment screw !!! Good news, I have an extra steering wheel and I think it may be perfect for the batboat. Anyway, here are some pics. JC Tech...

Hi JC, Here's the mold of the hull. Sorry for the quality of the pictures... believe me they were worst than that and I reshaped them with PaintShop (a gift from a very sood dude of mine) So not so bad for a first attempt of molding hey ? It's straight and the surface flawless. I'll get back on the fabrication of the top of the Batboat first portion of 09 but in the mean time, I'll get further on with the trailer project ... I promised you pictures before Christmas Eves !!!! David |

I can't recall this far into this thread, are you building this just for your personal collection, or will it be for sale when done, or do you plan to make
molds/kits for sale.....what was/is the intent for this stunning model?
Please keep the pictures and progress coming, this is easily the most fascinating replica I have ever seen come together of the Batmobile or Futura! (Hint-Hint....Futura next??!!)

Thanks for the info, and you are right, building is all the fun!
I can't imagine what the price even for the body would be, but would love to know when you get to that point, keep us posted on kit sales. From what I see so far it would likely be worth whatever the asking price might be. Dan |

Hobbybuilder01, I went and see your site and men, you rocks ! You are doing amazing stuff. Thanks for sharing, BTW You will like the train I have put together and curently selling on Ebay... I did sold a bunch of those so far. If ever you see one like this passing by , it comes from me. Ebay : jcsml JC Tech... And Dave... I did finish the differentiel tonight and left the the back plate transparent so we can see the gears working. The Photos are to follow. So, the wheel base is finally 31.875 inches exactly ! Most people think that the original wheel base was 129 inches for the furura but it is in reality 127.5 ! Talk to you later, JC Tech... |

Hi JC, nice diff... I think I have the proper tube to build the drive shaft that goes with those U-joints for your undercarriage. The right size, ligthweight
steel....a cut to the right lengh, a few tigwelds and your Bat-power will transfer to your fabulous rearend.
Now my friend, for you and all other watchers too here are the pics of the steel Bat-trailer frame. After few calculations, some bends and some trials'n errors and few days of work, this is what I've done so far.... It's a perfect 1\4 replica of a boat trailer of that era... 
There will be some ajustments to come prior to final positioning, like the winch post has the hull of the Batboat will be ready in the futur... And some
small parts'n fastners to be made.

I am flabbergasted !!! The Bat-trailer will be a blast ! Since I had a couple of hours to waste... I placed the body and the half finished chassis side by side with the temporary wheels just to have a feel of it. I am starting to put together the V8 tonight ... I know it's the 25th but what the heck it's Xmas for me too ! JC Tech...

What a GREAT Christmas treat for me!
Seeing the body next to the chassis instantly makes me want to hop in and take it for a drive go-kart style! Fantastic work, this project is really cool! 
Now I just have to figure out how to get Santa to bring ME one of these! |

What i love about this project is that it is not everyday that you see 1/4 scale built up of any car let alone the batmobile. this proect is awsome.showing
your progess pictures as it is coming along just lets me know how inadaquate my modeling skills really are...LOL

I hope you as well had a great Christmas! Seeing your model progress truely is a gift for me, I am really enjoying the quality and creative level of this amazing build! I think your "secrets" would fill a phone book on how to build one of these! Your biggest secret must be how you let the wife allow you to have the car right next to the kitchen in the above pics---now THAT is a trick of the trade! 
Please keep us posted on progress here, I eagerly await every installment!
