Arch lights |
Lead | |
|
I am preparing to wire and finish my arch. Is this correct? Jewel lights on the side, do they wig wag? Antler lights do they blink in unison with each other?
The switches on the underside of the arch control nothing and are for looks? I may not do the aluminum and switches.

Yes, the side marker arch lights blink front to back. The original lights are still available, but are very expensive--and they have to be purchased in
bulk (20 or more). They run almost $100 per light, so it's not a cheap proposition!

1 1/4 inches round and glass lenses. I
think they look pretty accurate. A friend of mine found some at a flea market brand new. He said they had more if anyone is
interested..

Okay... | ||
|
The antler lights were NEVER LIT on the show, The side marker lights flashed in an odd pattern. Rear light on, Rearlight off front light on, front light
on-rear light on, rear light off, front light off rear light on, repeat. This pattern is most noticeable in the first episode when Robin waits outside the neww
discotheque and Riddler sets off the anti-theft device.
...Speaking words of wisdom...let it be.

Erratic Flashing? | ||
|
I imagine they used two automotive flashers to achieve the blinking light effect, which yields about the same, highly erratic results.

I'm using an alternating flasher to achieve the wig wag flashing effect.

ARCH LIIGHTS | ||
|
Thank you Don C, for the great find on that taillightking site. They have those very nice lights that were shown on here by silent-thunder. For those
looking they aer parts number 31403, and 31404, as well as another one in blue. And only $10.00 brand new. I ordered a bunch and Mr. Phillips is a nice guy.
