I was surprised to see so much interest in such a thing, as I figured it wouldn't fly for a second with everyone. The photo in question was was of a Munster Koach reissue (keeping it in the family) with the graphics imposed over top. The distressing and lightosourcing came next. As it stands, there is no physical version, just what was created in the computer. So, even I don't have one. The reason for creating it was simply for fun, as most of what's (happily) coming out these days is geared more toward the car's ideal or original state. For someone of my age, the only way to see the car back in the 1970's was as the "Fuzz" version. I, like perhaps many board members have developed quite an affection for this period. So, it was just natural to put together something that reflected this period. That, of course being the first time I saw the car, in Feb. 1975.

Had I posted a shot of each of the box's "angles", it would've been a dead giveaway, as most of the photos employed came from the site itself. Even these had to be extensively revised to reflect what is probably the most recognizable car of the period, that being the #3. This involved erasing a rear canopy in one shot, taking out and/or altering background elements in another. Even swapped out the beacon on what is easily recognizable as the #4's interior. The box cover photo was revised considerably, too. Add in some text quoting "special features" that never existed, as was sometimes the case through-out the years, and it was finished.

So, whether it was "altered" equipment in the sparse interior or the "jury rigged" beacons and missing canopies or just the Fuzz covering itself, the car was what it was in the 70's and it was the only game in town. I kind of miss it.

Also, the "Real Bat- Fuzz Finish Included" blurb was based on a late 50's "Peri the Squirrel" kit. apparently it came with some kind of fuzzy coating that was either sprinkled or brushed on. The final effect I'm sure, was lame, but it holds water when used in the Batmobile's context.
