I really thought Michael Keaton did a great job in the first Batman movie. Despite not having the physical prowess or intimidate size that Batman should have
had, I liked his portrayal of the dark side Batman/Bruce Wayne had. The second movie was just flat poorly written and themed, but he still did a great job. Val
Kilmer was a joke. His Bruce Wayne character was as plastic as they come. And pretty boy George Clooney was brought also in for just the
"sexist-man-alive" appeal. The absolutely dismal script didn't help his play-for-a-pay-check character either.
My vote has been, and still is for Bruce Cambell. He had the square jawed face and tall, muscle physique that Batman should had had that Keaton didn't,but the strange dark side that Kilmer and Clooney couldn't find. They would have had to make sure the directors didn't push his comedic side too much (like they did so well at with MK in the first movie), but I really think he had that "look" and the diversity to have been the best Batman of them all. I'm not getting into the whole Christian Bale movies, because they went really dark and heavy.
Anybody else agree?
