Does that price include paintjob like the last one? That's a heck of a bargain for those trying to get a foot in the Batmobile ownership doorway!
Although I myself am not in a $$ position to get into a Bat due to the economy and kid in college, I really appreciate it when builders come up with creative ways to package their products like this, it give us more options and hope to maybe getting one someday. Not everyone can afford a top shelf show car level build, and so having other "entry levels" to buy in at really helps. Even just how several builders will sell parts like consoles and dash etc. seperately is a big step to getting more people closer to ownership, and that's what it's all about! It's the direction I personally would hope to see our hobby continue to go in, creativity and options---it's good for the customer and the builder I would think! Plus with deals like this, honestly most of the hard work is done and the headaches are done.....you have to appreciate that when considering the price! Keep the deals coming!

Heck of a bargain... | ||

Exactly as pictured Dan..painted and all...well actually even better!
With the addition of all my new steel components such as the dash and roll bar etc it ups the build quality that much more! And the great thing as my builds get better I apply these improvements to all my cars and props and I don't have to 'slam' the competition like Nodeman does..I actually build cars and complete them!

Don--$45K is quite a bargain. I'm guessing there's a trade-off here in some way (ie less detailed interior w/less working gadgets? fewer high
performance options or options that are not quite as high performance in general?).
As far as nodeman goes, it takes two to tango. You two should kiss and make up already, but it seems you can't resist continuing to take every opportunity to jab at each other. If you want to have a rep as a class builder, you should take the high road when it comes to competitors. If another builder is bad-mouthing or pestering you, there's always a way to deflect that without stooping to the same level, especially if your work has been good and clients are happy to attest to it. Slighting each other at every turn makes you sound not much better than MT when it comes to people skills (even if you both do far better quality work than MT, and both have better grammar/spelling, and both turn off your caps lock when you post). |

![]() ![]() NOW THAT'S FUNNY BATUSI!!.....Oooops, I mean......now that's funny batusi! (M/T's idiotic CAPS ALL THE TIME drove me nuts)
I agree with the high road statement, better to let much of what is said go without a reaction and just keep posting your current work, the pictures say more than words can anyways! Granted sometimes when attacked a response may be needed, but even then there's a high and low road. I think the board overall has evolved to a high road status and as many years as I have been here that's a great thing to see. I think builders who have also gone this route have only seen an INCREASE in business, as opposed to feeling a loss because of attacks on a board. Right now I don't think ANY builder is showing as many different pics as Don is, (several builds) in such detail, and Don's got a lot of new innovations going on, no need to snipe back and forth when you have that going for you! P.S> I'm not a salesman for Don, in fact I considered 3 other builders over the years when I was close to buying back in the day. I just think what I am seeing from him and Mark Racop right now are the most innovative builds. Love to see more of the same from more builders!! |

I understand where you're coming from Don. I guess the Don-bashing happens much less over here (otherwise I'd imagine Eric would put a stop to it).
I'd say maybe feel free to go over to the other board and have at it, rather than letting it spill over into this board, but I know that sometimes these
things can get to that point where it's tough to be civil anymore.
Great pics, as usual, by the way. Keep 'em coming. Any more Keatonmobile pics yet? |

No you won't see me knuckle dragging on cltc batsui..that's not my style.
I'll just keep building these great cars 'cause that's what I really like to do! New Keatonmobile pics coming very soon...I've added even more details to that build that may knock your socks off!

Hello Don---and board.....
I am not a salesman either-- I did buy a kit from him 6 years ago and with deep regret had to let it go -- due to allot in my life then and our lovely economy etc... and mid life wife crap--
Hes a man of his word! I would buy something like this with no regrets!!!! Maybe I can again later.... regards, Mark N. Hilton, NY |
