For those unfamiliar with our cowls, this cowl's fiberglass shell is based on the Hubie "stunt cowl" fiberglass shell from the show and is covered in the same type of fabric as the original. It has been custom dyed to match a sample of the original color. It was constructed by a costumer with over 25 years experience. It is simply as close to owning an original as possible. *UPDATE* THIS COWL HAS BEEN SOLD

Congrats on the sale of your cowl, Chuck.
I have several people ask me about the best cowl on the market--are you still making them, Chuck? Is Ebay the only source now? Do you make any other costume parts? |

I have a nice cowl myself, but it's a bit larger than my head. Does anyone know if the outfit in Argentina that makes the cowls and batsuits on eBay are
any good? Their photos don't look so great with stitching that is not symmetrical looking etc.
Who makes a nice cowl FITTED to one's head size? |

No, we don't make anything else anymore. Batcapes are a real pain to make! The other thing is that we only use original materials and there aren't a lot of folks out there willing to shell out the money for that.Just the fabric for the Batcape is close to $400.00. But it's beautiful! I may make a few accurate belts in the far distant future. I don't have to drag my wife into making those! 
I'm 99% sure I've found the original paint color and type. See swatch next to original screen used belt. Chuck...

Thanks for that input. Now the $64k question------and I'm in no hurry by any means. Is it possible in your spare time to make a cowl that has this quality look about it and yet would fit my headsize possibly? No idea what you get for yours if you do them at all. Any input would be great. I kind of like HAVING the cowl, but if I'm gonna wear one, it may as well fit and look right. I guess the plaster "shell" may be a pull off the original or even Adam's head possibly? Does he HAVE a big head? LOL Thank you. Chris |

The plaster is a first generation pull off an original cowl. Our current cowl is based on the Hubie stunt cowl shell that's been available for a while with a lot of work on my part to get it back to the originals size and shape. The photo illustrates that our fabric pattern and current cowl is the same size as the original. As far as Adams head size, since I have the same sized dome I'd say average! 23 3/8"-23 1/2" . The cowl is 27" in circumference. It would be very expensive for us to customize the size of these. We do sell them periodically but only the original size. My wife would kill me if we had to start from scratch!  She's a professional pattern maker and costumer
and is quite busy.
The price is going up as the fabric disappears and we come closer to ending the availability. Thanks again! Chuck... |

Having owned one of Chuck's cowls (I sold it to a friend that wanted it for Novi) if I was still collecting 66 stuff, I would give anything to own one.
They are a work of true love, dedication and accuracy, there's nothing better out there. If your melon is too small you can pad the inside with foam to
make it fit. I must have the same size melon as Chuck and Adam as the cowl fit me just fine.
Get a Chuck cowl while you can. Andy

Here are a couple of shots of the cowl with the new shell. I'm happy to say the first one out of the mold is in the collection of Adam West!! It has many of the little quirks and bumps that are seen on the originals. Fits best a size 7 3/8- 7 1/2 hat size, 23-23 1/2' head circumference at the brow. We should have one ready to go to auction in about a month. Don't mind the dummy wearing the suit! Chuck...

CONGRATS ON GETTING ONE OF YOUR COWLS TO THE MAN HIMSELF!!!...WOW!!! I don't think you've even mentioned this on "that other board!" ;-) I know you said in Ohio that it would be a DREAM COME TRUE!!! I'm THRILLED for you, my friend!!! 
Andy, The only person at Novi who had a Chuck cowl is a cool guy from Canada! Same person? After we saw that one, Scott S. and I HAD to have one and we contacted Chuck right after Novi! They ARE MAGNIFICENT!!! I wear mine PROUDLY!!! John P.S. Chuck...Your "dummy" looks...familiar! ;) |
