good going on the real Batman riding in the BatVette. Were getting the new engine ready this week, we got rid of the 460 and building a chevy 350 small
block...all chromed out, and the car went to the body shop yesterday...probably take a couple of months there...hopefully get it done by Christmas.

I'm with all the others. Glad to have a new build on board for a great ride.
There's nothing more mouthwatering at times than to watch a gem in the rough become a polished diamond. It's not like watching OTHER people's home videos either.lol There's SO much out there now. Snatch it all up before its gone! Thansk for sharing |

weird isn't it? Where I live we have had 3 bats within probably a 40 mile radius in the past, one is being built now making 4, and I tried 3 times myself,
had I been successful it would have been 5 Bats that had resided within 40 mile radius roughly at one time or another!

Do I have this straight? chevy power plant in a ford chassis? and solid motor mounts too!! using those mounts might give you a slight vibration, almost like
something is out of balance, if they are solid on both sides the chassis and the motor. late model center bolt heads, is that a crate motor, or did you have it
built.

Hi everyone,, Let me get started by thanking everyone for all the pics and discussion on this board with out it
I would have been totally lost!! I should have posted much sooner than now any way this is the first of many posts to come. My name is Richard and I am a full
time Turbine Machinist and part time race car fabricator and driver that just happens to be building a BATMOBILE and meeting some really cool people along the
way.
Now for the details on the bat, after reading about several overheating problems and limited clearance with the 460 Big Block, I decided after Mr.Trout told me to build it as if I owned it, then the decision was made to put a small block Chevy in it and I had gotten a really good deal on a GM Spec race engine from a friend, (hence center bolt valve covers) Engine is rated at 350hp, 350ft lbs, have four years of experience with these particular engines and absolutely bullet proof for this application although its a racing engine..very modest cam and really smooth idle at 3500-4000 rpm, you can sit a glass of water on top of the air cleaner and will hardly make a ripple, it will also sit in traffic all day in HOTLANA and never run hot. The trans is typical 350 turbo, and all engine mounts are from Energy Suspension and defiantly not solid "just chrome, look closely and you can see a little of the RED poly on the mount" Any Questions that anyone has feel free to ask and if Mr. Trout cant answer, then I will try my best. As for the post I am a fabricatot not an english major
