Great! | ||

Every great stuff in this blue planet started with a dream ! I am convinced of that!

Dreams? | ||
|
To quote Bruce Wayne, "Of what use is a dream if not a blueprint for reality?"
If I hadn't dreamt of building a car when I was two years old, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now, thirty-two years later. Keep on dreaming, Vic! One day maybe it will happen. |

So that's where you are Vicar~ | ||
|
Chipping Norton is a town in the West Oxfordshire District of Oxfordshire, England, located 18 miles (29 km) north-west of Oxford. It is the highest town above sea level in the county. Popular with tourists
who use it as a gateway to the Cotswolds, Chipping Norton
is a lively town that services a wide number of surrounding villages, continuing the tradition that gave it its name.

Don,
There's some facts in your last that even I didn't know. The roads don't quite lend themselves to big 'Yank' cars, so it looks like I will have to keep it as a dream. Maybe I'll settle for one of Tomas' pedal cars, that would certainly turns some heads as I drive down the country lanes. I can already hear the cries of "Now what's the old fool up to" and "Teacup's finally flipped his pickles this time". No, I'll have to put up with the Morris Minor for a bit longer (sigh). Vic |

Lol... | ||

' Flipped his pickles '.....hahah..brilliant ! Can I use that one Vic?

"...put up with the Morris Minor...."
What? No need to feel left out, get it painted black with cherise pinstripes and order a pair of door bats! A few gadgets glued to the dash and the label here and there......you'll be the hit of the town and one step closer to Batmobile ownership! Like the ladies always say: "It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it" So get crackin' on that mini-bat!!

You've got me thinking '66. And if I made it to Archbishop they'd let me wear a cape. Hmmm....

With that van you could have been an arch enemy of Batman and Robin on the show...the "Tea-totaller"

I like that 66'. Not quite accurate though as I am rather fond of the occasional sweet sherrie.
Hey, what's happened to my avatar, it shows up on the previews?

Gone Goon - turned into one of the henchmen (hence, the van...) Just wanted to make sure you're still playing cricket for the right team, Vic

'Batting for the other side' means something quite different in England Foggy, something the big guy frowns upon, according to his biography.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of the good wishes and encouragement that people have given me over the years, and Eric, for putting up with me and allowing me to have a thread in this section even though he knows dam well that I'm never so much as going to pick up a spanner on my 'project'. For those who don't quite get me, I have a genuine love of the '66 car and the series but have no real expertise to offer the subject, so I have taken it upon myself to try to contribute a little humour to the proceedings. I truly thank Eric & Co for this board and giving me somewhere to come and forget myself during some very dark times in my life. Sometimes a little escapism keeps you sane (almost). I would also like to be one of the first to wish everyone a very merry Christmas (Gawd bless us one an all) and a very happy new year. Vic x |

Vic...it's a Christmas miracle!!! Batman...err, umm...the BIG guy upstairs sure works in mysterious ways
I'm the same way - I have *no* talent/skills/expertise in any of this area, but I do love the car... I just hang around and inject a little humor here and there, and IF I find something interesting...I say it. Otherwise...I lurk. I enjoy my time here, for sure. |
