You may have seen that I put my Batmobile to work last March, with Adam West behind the wheel as a retired superhero in the feature, Super Capers.
Unfortunately, after traveling the prior week and then shooting all night, let's just say "someone" wasn't thinking when he took the car out
of gear and let it roll into the flatbed tow truck that had just dropped it off after the shoot. It was a sound I'll never forget; kind of a mix of
crunching celery, shattering plastic, and babies crying (I think I also heard Satan laugh).
Ouch!
Yeah, it was me... I did it! Hagerty insurance really came through quickly after a phone call and appraisal and it went in to the body shop.
Because of the clear coat and no easy part lines, it was necessary to paint the entire car again after the nose work was completed.
After the neon red has been applied and waiting for stripe masking and black...
Black, color sanding, and clear coat applied and in the process of all the final polishing...
And like new again - waiting for the Hollywood Christmas Parade to begin down Hollywood Boulevard with Nate's Star Car Central cars last Sunday...
