SHORTER BAT TURN LEVER |
Lead | |
|
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I was watching episodes with the Sandman and Black Widow and notice that the shorter lever has what
looks like a wire or string tied to the handle that runs under the arch towards the front canopy and is tied off to what looks like an eye hook screwed into
the underside of the arch.

Check out A. Pennyworth's fantastic moment by moment breakdown of changes to the car throughout the series at this addy:
http://home.comcast.net/~apennyworth/original/1966batmobilevisualtimeline.html John, you're absolutely amazing, my friend.

Thanks Mark Racop I should have known. That man is the photo reference God, few people know this car as well as he does.

I'm probably going to sound naive here, but isn't the reason for the wire (and the changing size and position of the turn lever) just to try to keep it
from spoiling the shots of Adam and Burt (mainly Burt, because most photos seem to come from Adam's side of the car)? It kind of distracting when Adam
looks towards Burt and the turn lever is right in the middle of the photo or shot.

You're not naive at all | ||
|
You're right on the mark. They kept changing the location of the bat turn lever to get a better camera angle of the two stars.
