HAS ANYONE SEEN IMAGES? APPARENTLY INTRODUCED TODAY AT THE SDCC HOT TOYS BOOTH.MY INFO COMES DIRECTLY FROM PMB.JUST HOW BIG IS 1/6 SCALE???

I was expecting the board to be on fire at this News!!Hot Toys are the greatest 1/6 action figure manufacturers in the World and have redifined industry standards in sculpting and paint.These figures look alive!!Thhis is a MAJOR cause for celebration ,trust me.Also,1lso,1/6 ccale means 1foot+6 foot in real life.Like the old G.I Joe figures.God,Im SO excited at this news!!

HOW IS SIDESHOW AFFILIATED W/HOT TOYS...FROM WHAT I GATHER THE 66' BATMOBILE WAS REVEALED AT THE SIDESHOW COLLECTIBLES BOOTH.IF SIDESHOW IS INVOLVED I CAN IMAGINE IT'LL BE A VERY HIGH PRICE ITEM.THE POSTED PIC I CAN SEE THE RADER RIMS APPEAR TO TAKE ON A SANDBLASTED UNFINISHED APPEARANCE.AGAIN COULD I GET DIMENSIONS ON 1/6 SCALE...I'M ASSUMING IT'S GOING TO BE A LARGE PIECE.

That would be FANTASTIC to have a 1/6 scale 66 Bat available at some point as long as it doesn't cost as much as my Saturn does!

1/6 is basically the biggest size model you'll ever see in cars for the most part, and rarely seen at that. It'll take you two hands to hold it! accuracy tends to drop way off on that size typically (sadly), but I'd love to see what they have.

What's REALLY exciting to me is what Mr. "Vantage.Point" alluded to--there will be 1/6 action figures coming down the pike, I'm sure, and they will blow us away, even if the car does not. I really hope AUTOart does the car in 1/18--they take screen accuracy very seriously there (at least with the Road Warrior car they did).

Might as well be 1:1 scale for the price. My pockets, unfortunately, don't run nearly as deep as what the price tag, i'm sure, will be.

Say...don't supposed they'd trade me one for TWO (count 'em) HW SE Batmobiles, do ya??

Yeah this is an awesome announcement, especially if the ensuing Adam and Burt 1:6 figures fit properly inside it. Has there been any announcement on price tag or are we all just assuming it will be astronomical. I'm sure it will be by the time it gets shipped to Australia, anyway.

I notice in the pic above the chain cutter is deployed, but in the official pics I don't like the crap on the front grilles for starters. I'd like to see a pic of the inside of the cockpit...

Not a fan of those wheels, although the antlers and beacon look better than most...

Can't wait to see their 1:6 figures...

Better start saving fellers. Hot Toys have big price tags on their items. Expect around $500+ on the car and about $250 for each figure. Hot Toys usually has pretty high quality but their tag is too high for me. I have no space to justify buying this car especially when I can already see errors in it. I can't plunk down that kind of dough only to have to put it on the workbench to start correcting errors. With this board around and all the knowledge available there is absolutely no reason to put out an inaccurate collectible at these price points.

With that said, it is still cool as all get out to see this becoming available!

I'm excited to see another '66 Batmobile, but at 30" long that will take up lots of space and a HUGE dent in my wallet.

To date, I have not been contacted by Hot Toys...I am hoping/guessing I will be. Will let you all know if I hear from them

this display model is a one-off prototype, so hopefully they will do a lot of honing before finalizing it for production.

The wheels are wrong, but i'm liking the details I see in the interior. Loks like a working rolltop dash, well done detect-a-scope (from what I can see)

The pivot point is there in the rear canopy. Too bad I can't tell from this angle if they got the taper right. I'm not liking that steering wheel though, or the retention straps Barris added to the door panel trim. Doors and Hood open. In some of the other pics i've seen it has the season two afterburner. I guess that follows with the Bat-ram lever being there. Antlers and Bat-phone are almost passable. Bat-turn lever looks a little cheesy tho. There's a clear dome on the compass and the beacon of course...is wrong. Sigh.

P.S. Sorry guys...I didn't feel like starting a FOURTH thread for this.

Is thier distributor for the U.S. You're lookin at a cost around $550 to $650

Thanks for those observations Kevin, you are spot on (and thanks for the interior shot). However, if this is just a prototype, there isn't really much tweaking needed, certainly not to the point of the HW debacle. And I reckon once there are Adam and Burt figures in there that will distract from a lot of the minor details... mind you, if they don't listen to advice from Eric or other experts here, then I ain't gonna invest the $$$! The wheels really let it down in it's present form.

I also hope the rolltop dash doesn't reveal a 70s Kenwood cassette deck like the HW Elite.

and $650 sounds a lot more reasonable that $1500. I could buy a real car for that, fit myself in it, and drive myself around... still, once you add the figures (if you're into that) then you'd be looking at around $1000 all up (plus shipping)... seems we have time to do some saving too... (or yes, selling off some of our HW hoardings

I mistakingly typed $1500, I meant $500+. The more I see of it the easier the decison will be to walk away. At 1:6 scale we are looking at 37.5" long x 14" wide, that's a lot of shelf space!

I knew Hot Toys was going to make this. I knew it.

Hopefully they will consult with Eric and/or Kevin. Since it will be expensive, it should be First Season accurate as possible.
Let HT know you also were a consultant for Round 2 to establish credibility.

I hope they make the canopy frames look like chrome as it looked like gray plastic. And white outline on the wheel bats.

I was going to say.... They're off to a pretty good start. I actually think they did a decent job on the beacon, but the scales of the antlers and beacon don't match. Antlers look too small, which makes the beacon look too big. HT would really have to knock this one way out of the park for me to even consider actually purchasing one, though.
